Moved to San Francisco and no longer need my car. Looking to sell a 2011 Ford Fiesta w/ very low mileage. I’ve owned it for a little over a year now, and have taken really great care of it. I love this car, and am bummed to be getting rid of it, but my loss is your gain.

Specs

  • make: Ford
  • model: Fiesta
  • year: 2011
  • color: Black
  • miles: 13,000
  • transmission: manual 5 speed
  • Front-wheel drive.

Features

  • Microsoft Sync
    • Play music via blue tooth from your phone (this is my favorite feature).
    • Voice operated commands (answer phone, make calls, play music).
    • Turn by Turn GPS.
  • Plug in a USB device to play music from.
  • CD Player.
  • AM/FM Radio.
  • Two power sockets.
  • 5 cup holders.
  • Power Locks/Windows.
  • Lots of trunk space.
  • Display how many miles until empty.
  • Display mpg/average speed.

Notes

  • Have never spilled anything in the car.
  • Rarely brought fast food in it.
  • There is minor damage on the front bumper from someone backing in to it while parked.
  • I have most if not all maintenance documents.
  • Passed smog test.
  • Have had no mechanical issues/failures.

PRICE

$14,500 OBO

As noted above I’m in San Francisco now so my mom will be helping me out with showing the car to anyone interested.

If you have any questions about the car or want to schedule a time to check it out feel free to email or call 949 407 8125.

Thanks!

Derek

Put Display to Sleep With Alfred

Buh-Bye is an Alfred extension that allows you to put your display to sleep.

You’ll need 2 things for this to work:

  1. Set your top-left hot corner to put the display to sleep. Hot Corner
  2. And the Alfred Powerpack.

Install the plugin by double clicking the icon. Invoke by typing bye.

Action Shot

It works by executing an apple script originally found at http://hints.macworld.com/article.php?story=20100418152304108.

Today we used Jonathan’s Starbucks Card to get Kaitlyn a free Iced Caramel Macchiato. More about the project:
Hi! I’m Jonathan Stark. You can download this picture of my Starbucks card to your phone and buy coffee at Starbucks with it. Seriously. My card gets charged, you don’t. Details are here.
If you’re feeling generous, you can also add money to my Starbucks card by doing this and enjoy some serious good karma.
Jonathan’s Card is an experiment in social sharing of physical goods using digital currency on mobile phones. I stumbled on the idea while doing research for a blog post about Broadcasting Mobile Currency.
Based on the similarity to the “take a penny, leave a penny” trays at convenience stores in the US, I’ve adopted a similar “get a coffee, give a coffee” terminology for Jonathan’s Card.

Also worth checking out The Atlantic’s post: Charting a High-Tech ‘Get a Coffee, Give a Coffee’ Experiment
Update: There’s now an article on CNN about it.

Such a rad idea. I am all about these social projects revolving around the idea of common decency. Life is so much easier when you can inherently trust people.

Deployinator - Deploy with Style, by Etsy

thechangelog:

I am super excited to make this post.

One of my favorite engineering blogs is Code as Craft. Etsy is one of my favorite startups, they’ve got cool people working there, they help people make and sell neat things, and contribute a lot back to the community.

A while ago, they mentioned that they had an in-house, custom deployment tool. And they were thinking about open sourcing it. I’m really fascinated by what (by now) is being hailed as “DevOps,” and so I was really interested to see what they were building.

And then I waited.

And now, they’ve released it. From their GitHub, it’s just a little Sinatra app that you can run. It has the concept of ‘stacks,’ so you can roll things out in waves if you’d like. They give an example of having a ‘search’ stack and a ‘web’ stack. Each stack can have environments, so you have ‘search staging’ and ‘search production,’ for example.

It’s a bit light on documentation at the moment, and since it came out under an hour ago, I have yet to try it out for myself. But I’m super excited to, and wanted to share. Bust out those fork buttons!
